Summer crochet : bottle holder !!!

Het is heerlijk weer! Weer om naar buiten te gaan dus, wandelen, fietsen, spelen.

En het is ook bijna vakantietijd.

En dan komt deze fleshouder wel prettig van pas.

Geen omvallende en lekkende flessen. Lekker beschermd, om altijd een slokje te kunnen nemen!

En heerlijk snel klaar, een echt vakantie-haakwerkje!

The weather is great!! The sun is shining, so time to go outside, for a walk, to play, ...

And almost holiday time!

So this bottle holder will serve you well.

No more falling and leaking bottles..; You just carry your drinks along with you!

And it is also a fun and quick 'summer crochet project'.

Gehaakt met Scheepjeswol Noodle en haaknaald 12 mm.
Lekker snel klaar.
Mooie en vrolijke kleurtjes!!!

I crocheted it with Scheepjeswol Noodle and crochet hook 12 mm.
So it was a very quick project.
I just love the colours of the yarn.
From today on this yarn is available in the webshop in lots of colours!

One more for the boys : cardigan!!!

En deze is nu echt de laatste :)

(momenteel dan toch, want ik vind ze superfijn om te maken)

Een jongenscardigan. Nummer 3 om exact te zijn. (want ik heb dan ook 3 stoere gasten voor de fotoshoot binnenkort)

(en zoals Vicje zei : haak maar mama, ik zal volgende winter gene kou hebben .... )

Colourfull sock yarn cowl

Sokkenwolletjes zijn zalig! Zacht, mooi, supersterk, ... en makkelijk in onderhoud!

Ik gebruik ze graag voor kinderkleding.

Deze keer ging ik aan de slag met een zelfstrepend fel garen : Scheepjeswol Invicta Colour.
En ik combineerde het met een fel effen turquoise garen : Scheepjeswol Invicta Extra.

I just love sock yarns! They are soft, beautiful, super strong, ... and easy 'to maintain'.

I like using them for childrens clothing.

This time I combined a selfstriping sock yarn : Scheepjeswol Invicta Colour with a bright turquoise sock yarn : Scheepjeswol Invicta Extra.

En het wordt geen trui of vest, maar een col!

And I am not making a sweater or a cardigan, but a cowl!

Een nieuw en grappig ontwerp, met heel veel stretch erin, en fijn om te maken.

It is a new and funny design, with lots of stretch in it, and very fun to make.

En de garens? Ik vind ze zo fantastisch, dat ik ze sinds vandaag ook gewoon te koop heb in de webwinkel : hier vind je de Invicta Colour en hier vind je alle kleuren Invicta Extra.

Mindful continental knitting .... a dream...

Ik had het mezelf beloofd, om te leren continentaal breien.
Sinds ik zoveel haak, lukt gewoon breien (met 2 langen naalden waarvan er eentje onder mijn oksel steekt :) ) me niet goed meer, ik krijg erg snel pijnen...

I had promised myself to learn 'continental knitting'.
I can knit on straight needles since I was a kid (with 1 needle pressed under my arm :) ), but because I crochet so much, I think I use the wrong muscles when knitting, so it always hurts a lot to knit...

Dus leerde ik mezelf vorig jaar continentaal breien, rechtshandig. Maar ook dat was het niet, want ik ben linkshandig... (maar mijn oma leerde me rechtshandig breien vroeger)

So last year, I learned myself continental knitting, right-handed. But I did not like it a lot, because I am left-handed. (but my grandmother learned me to knit a long time ago, and she was right-handed, so I also learned it that way)

En nu alle projecten van mijn boek klaar zijn, en ik echt zoooooooveeeeeeel gehaakt heb en nu een echte haakdip heb,

besloot ik het te proberen : linkshandig continentaal breien.

En het lukt!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Het rechts breien lukt perfect, ik merk dat het een 'mindful' iets is, dat breien. Ik ben helemaal 'in het moment' als ik brei, ik vind dan een breiritme, en ik merk dat breien een soort van muziek maakt op zichzelf. Niet denken aan, geen zorgen, gewoon de naalden en ik ikzelf, en heerlijk breien maar.

But now all the projects for my book are ready, and I realise I really have crocheted sooooo muchhhhhh lately, 

I decided to give it at try : continental knitting left-handed.

And it works, I just love it!!!!!!
The knitting stitches work perfectly, I have realised it is a 'very mindful activity' for me, I am completely 'in the moment' while knitting, feeling the gentle rythm, I have noticed knitting makes a kind of music inside me... No thinking about ..., no worries, just me, myself, the needles and the yarn.

Dus dit is mijn eerste echte continentaal breiproject : aan shawl voor mezelf.

Het garen? Ik koos een combinatie van Cascade 220 Heathers en een heerlijk VickeVira wolletje, dat ik recentelijk in haar Etsy shop kocht : een mooie magic ball van handgesponnen wol.

So this is my first 'real continental knitting project' : a shawl for myself.

The yarn ? A combination of Cascade 220 Heathers and the gorgeous VickeVira handspun yarn, I recently bought a skein at her Etsy shop : a magic ball of scrap yarns. I am totally in love with it. 

En als dit project klaar is, ga ik averechts leren... Want dan wil ik dit prachtig exemplaar maken : het nieuwe ontwerp van Wieke Van Keulen!

And when this shawl project is ready, I am going to learn how to purl .... Because I really want to make Wieke Van Keulen's new design, her wonderfull shawl : 

O ja, ik brei met Knitpro breinaalden, die ik vanaf nu ook allemaal in mijn webshop verkoop : alle Knitpro breinaalden en breinaalden sets!!!

Blue cardigan - blauwe cardigan !!!

Deze is mijn favoriet, van alle olala-cardigans...

Het blauw is zoooooo mooi, en het contrast met het rood en donkerblauw maakt het vrolijk.

Het garen is ongelofelijk heerlijk, het is Phildar Partner 6. Gekregen van mijn sponsor Phildar.

Deze is maatje 7-8 jaar, zoals je ziet op de foto is hij nog wat groot voor Vic :)

This one is my personal favourite, of all the olala-cardigans...

The blue is soooooo nice, and I thinks the contrast with red and dark blue works very well. 

The yarn is wonderfull, it is Phildar Partner 6. I received it from my sponsor Phildar.

The cardigan is size 7-8 years, and as you can see, it is still a bit too wide for Vic :)

Boys cardigan olala!

Een stoere cardigan, voor een stoere kerel! Vic noemt dit 'mijn riddervest', hij koos dan ook de kleuren zelf.

Probleem : dit vest moet weggestopt, tot we binnenkort foto's gaan shooten voor het boek, erna mag hij het pas dragen. (en dat zint hem niet echt, hij wil dit vest NU aan.... haha)

A firm cardigan, for a tough little boy! Vic calls it : 'my knights vest', he picked the colours himself.

Problem : I absolutely have to hide this vest, until we are shooting the pictures for my upcoming book. After that, he can wear the vest as much as he wants. (and he does not agree with it, he wants to wear it NOW :) )

Ik gebruikte hetzelfde patroon als voor 'het kleine olala-vestje', alleen maakte ik dit keer maat 5-6 jaar. 

Het garen is Scheepjeswol Pittsburgh (kleuren : lichtgrijs, donkergrijs en rood)

I used the same pattern as the 'little  cardigan olala' vest, and this one is size 5-6 years.

The yarn : Scheepjeswol Pittsburgh (colours : light grey, dark grey and red). 

Het fijne is : dit patroon werkt gewoon voor alle maten! Daar word ik superblij van, het betekent dat iedereen vestjes kan maken met dit patroon voor iedereen : babyvestjes, kindervestjes, en zelfs grote meneren-vesten :)  (ik maakte gisteren een damesmaatje af, en de pasvorm is perfect) )

The great thing is : this pattern works for all sizes! So that makes me very happy, it means everybody can make cardigans with this pattern : baby-cardigans, children vests and even large men-vests.... (yesterday I finished a ladies size, and the fitting is perfect) )
